Another great potato chip from Kettle. Kettle cooked chips are, in my opinion at least, so much better than the regular ones. The taste of these chips is great. They are on the neutral site, yet full of flavor, and lightly salted. If you’re after a very nice tasting chip that doesn’t overpower your taste buds with all sorts of strange spices and flavors, this is the one. On top of the sheer goodness, they are also labeled as gluten-free. Fantastic!

I recently discovered Bolder Canyon’s kettle cooked potato chips at out local grocery store. The gluten free logo on the back of the package looked inviting and so they went into my shopping basket.

These thickly sliced potato chips, cooked in small kettles, are a very tasty addition to our snack pantry. They are just as good as the chips from Kettle Food and thankfully quite different from their regular counterparts (don’t want to name brands here). I must say, I prefer the kettle cooked ones.

Experience:
Our experience with these chips is indeed excellent. They taste great, have 50% less salt, and are wheat and gluten free. I am always surprised where I can find wheat, and potato chips in general are not an exception.

Ingredients:
According to the package they contain potatoes, vegetable oil (sunflower and/or safflower oil), and salt.

Where to Buy:
You should be able to find these great gluten free kettle chips in many differnt grocery chains, including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Albertson’s and others. For a more complete list click here.

Experience:
These are some nice pretzels. They taste great and are crunchy. Just like their wheat containing counterparts. Yum. They are the perfect snack to take on a trip, eat at work, or on the go.

Where to Buy:
I found these great wheat and gluten free pretzel twists at Whole Foods and Sprouts. I did not see them yet at regular grocery stores.

Now that’s a potato to chip to die for. No kidding. These chips have the perfect mixture of cheese and spices. They taste bold yet not overpowering. Unfortunately I never get tired of eating them.

What I didn’t know was the fact that they are gluten free. Yeah! Well, I knew by looking at the ingredient list, but seeing it printed on the bag is assuring. Of course one would think that all potato chips are wheat and gluten free. They are not. SunChips for example are not wheat free. The word chip kind of implies that they are potato chips (at least that’s how I see it), but they contain wheat (wholegrain goodness). I hear great things about them – fantastic taste and all, but since they contain wheat they are unfortunately out of the picture.

Potato chips are not exactly low in calories, so eat in moderation (look who’s talking…).

Ingredients:
Potatoes, safflower and/or sunflower oil, whey, Cheddar/Romano/Parmesan cheeses (pasteurized milk, cheese cultures, enzymes), salt, buttermilk powder, garlic and onion powder, rice flour, natural Bleu cheese flavor (maltodextrin, yeast extract, natural flavor), citric and lactic acid, parsley, cumin, paprika extract, natural butter flavor.

Where to Buy:
You should be able to find these great gluten free potato chips, and many additional flavors that are also good, at your favorite grocery store. You also can buy them at Kettle’s own online store (link below).
