Cedarlane Three Layer Enchilada Pie
A week ago I was shopping for some TV dinners. In my local grocery store Amy’s products are placed just beside Cedarlane. I was looking aorund and saw this gluten-free dish. The Three Layer Enchilada Pie. I thought I should give it a try.
Experience:
Last night I didn’t feel like cooking and I decided to give this dish a try. I prepared it in the microwave according to the instruction, but you can also use a conventional oven. I like to add some cheese to this type of meal. That’s what I did here.
I have to say I really liked the dish. OK, it didn’t look as pretty like the photo on the box suggests, but the taste was good. It was seasoned nicely. I also liked that it was not salty. At least I didn’t feel it was. Often these kind of TV dinners are a bit on the salty side.
The next day I looked at the calorie level and thought, wow, just 215. Well, then I saw that this package was actually 2 portions. I ate it all. It really wasn’t that large. Too small for two. I mean, who would think that these packages are 2 servings? Usually they are just one. Oh well.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Cedarlane has two more gluten-free products, which I will be happy to try at a later point. They are also Mexican.
