Whole Grain Brown Rice Tortillas
Food for Life offers a variety of healthy food choices. Among them is a line of gluten free products. One of these products will be reviewed now, the whole grain brown rice tortilla.

I like these tortillas a lot. They are quite versatile and can be used for different types of meals. They do have a unique but subtle taste which won’t interfere with the things you want to put inside or on top of your wrap.
The texture of these tortillas is rather dense. Not as soft as regular wheat tortillas, which means they won’t wrap so nicely. Not as brittle as regular corn tortillas, so your wrap won’t fall apart so easily. This is sometimes a bit annoying when I eat corn tortillas, they break open and the food falls out. It would be nice if the tortillas could be a little softer, but I won’t complain. They are a really good gluten free food product and I would recommend them to anyone.
Whole Grain Brown Rice Tortillas
I use these wraps for regular wrap dishes and also as a thin pizza crust replacement. If you are into thin crust pizza, it can’t get any thinner than this. In my opinion they beat most gluten free pizza crusts I tried so far.
If I use them for a wrap like dish I usually heat them up in the microwave. I moisten them with water and then heat them for about 20-30 seconds. The water will make them a little softer. If I use them as a pizza crust, I simply put the ingredients on top and place the final concoction in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.

Whole Grain Brown Rice Flour, Filtered Water, Tapioca Flour, Safflower Oil, Rice Bran, Vegetable Gum (xanthan, cellulouse), Sea Salt.
Where to Buy:
You should be able to find these delicious gluten free tortillas at your local health food store. I have not seen them in regular grocery chains, but your experience might be different. The website shows a store finder that handles the US and Canada.
