Amy’s Cheese Enchilada Whole Meal
Amy’s Kitchen offers a wide variety in organic foods, many of them are whole meals also known as TV Dinners.
Over the years I tried many of the different dishes and I must say the Mexican flavored ones are my favorites.
Beside organic meals, Amy’s also offers a variety of meals which do not contain gluten.
Experience:
Amy’s dishes are definitively on the better end of the spectrum. The same is true for the Cheese Enchilada Whole Meal.
The flavors are good, not too bland, not too spicy. What sets this dish apart from other brands is the fact that it is not overly salty. Nice.
The texture of this dish is also pleasant, not too soft or completely structure less. After heating it up in the microwave according to instructions it still looks quite good. Of course it is not as pretty to look at compared to the photo on the package, but it holds up quite well even after moving it onto a plate.
I would definitively recommend this to anyone*. It is a good tasting dish that makes for a satisfying quick lunch or dinner.
*Note: Products that are formulated without any gluten containing ingredients are made in a processing area that may contain gluten.
Ingredients:
Organic black beans, organic corn, cheddar and jack cheeses, organic tomato puree, filtered water, organic corn tortilla (organic white corn cooked in water with a trace of lime), organic onions, black olives, expeller pressed high oleic safflower oil, organic green chilies, organic bell peppers, organic sweet rice flour, spices, sea salt, organic garlic. Contains milk. 0g trans fat, no added msg, no preservatives.
Where to Buy:
You should be able to buy Amy’s dinners at your grocery chain. In addition you will be able to find it at places like Whole Foods. I usually buy them at Ralphs. You might have to look a bit closer to find the gluten free dishes.
